The Best Ever Strawberry Jam

Nothing says spring time in Texas like strawberries!  We pick gallons and gallons at a local farm, and what doesn't get eaten I make into the BEST EVER Strawberry Jam.

A lot of jams and jellies just taste sweet-sweet-sweet, but this recipe cuts the sugar so that you really get a strong strawberry flavor!


Low Sugar Strawberry Jam

  • 6 cups of crushed Strawberries
  • 3 1/2 c sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon butter
  • box No Sugar Sure-Jell


1.  Put crushed strawberries into large pot.
2.  Stir in Sure Jell
3.  Stir in butter
4.  Bring mixture to a boil
5.  Add sugar
6.  Stir constantly
7.  Bring mixture back to a boil
8.  After 1 minute, remove from heat
9.  Test jam on cold plate
10.  Pour into sterilized jars
11.  Process in water bath for 5-10 minutes (everything I've read says 5 minutes)
