Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

We had a snow day here in Texas.  I think we might have seen half a dozen little flakes fluttering around the sleet and rain throughout the day!  My boys were excited to get to stay home and hope for more icicles.  As an after dinner treat we made Chocolate Chip Banana Bread, which turned out to be the perfect chilly day treat! 

The outside formed a nice crust, while the inside was so moist!

This made 2 small loaves.  One was devoured before the evening was out!  

We don't generally get 'Snow Days' here along the Gulf Coast, but I was so glad to have the day with my two little boys.  They love to stand on chairs in the kitchen and help mix and bake the yummies that we eat.  I'm hoping they will grow to have many fond memories of us in the kitchen and garden.  It makes me happier than I can express to think of my boys passing on these memories to their own children one day.  Sweetness!!
